Balaton Sound takes place on 11-12-13-14-15 July 2012 in Zamárdi, Hungary.
Balaton Sound is the ultimate relax and party festival. In daytime the shallow lake is full with partygoers, playing in the water or taking a nap on floating matresses. In the afternoon there's chill music on some stages but in the evening the festival is on full power. At night it's partytime till the sun comes up and people take their first dive into the lake again.
In general summers in Hungary are hot, but their's plenty of shadow and the water of Balaton is never far away.
Lake Balaton is the biggest lake in Central Europe. In July the water has an avarage temperature of 22 degrees Celsius, the lake bed is sandy and the water is clean since there's no industry. Since the lake is very shallow, it's also a great dancefloor..
The camping site, open from the 11th of July 2PM, is just besides the festivalterrain and costs 7 euro but one can also stay in one of the many weekend houses or hotels in Zamárdi or Siofok. Zamárdi is about 5 kilometers south from Siofok, the most important party town of Balaton, and easily reachable by train, taxi or with the Balaton Sound bus. Best though, is to rent a bike or scooter.
