Submerged are proud and excited to bring the very talented Sharam Jey back to Manchester after a long wait. This guy smashes every set and has currently 2 tracks in the top ten on beatport and 4 in the top 50 and is literally going to shut down Manchester on the 15th March. Along with Sion, one of the uk's biggest up and coming talents, this is looking like a big night and am excited to say the least!!!
Not only this the submerged team have secured the late addition and special guests Newbie Nerdz to the line up!! Keeps getting bigger and bigger...see you on the dance floor!!
When it comes to dance music most people tend to automatically switch off and think of repetitive, unenlightened, brain-poaching drivel. However there are still a few DJs/producers out there who continue to burn the light bright and keep striving to push sound forward, onward and upward and find a way to take it and relate it to the masses’ and taking it to the masses is one thing Cologne’s Sharam Jey does best. Sharam Jey has really taken things up to the next level with the release of his second artist album ‘In My Blood’. Not happy to settle on mediocre, he’s worked hard and pushed things to unexpected heights, working with a host of amazing collaborators that really vary the sounds of the record and take you by surprise including Princess Superstar, Tommie Sunshine, Andreas Hogby, Nik Valentino (of Lost Valentinos) and Cornelia.
Plus he is also always busy working on remixes for other great names, most recently he put his hands on tracks by Gossip, Moby, Diplo & Don Diablo, Mason & Roisin Murphy, Alex Gopher, to name just a few... which will conclude into a compilation featuring just the strongest of those mixes on one hot album.
His latest record label 'Bunny Tiger', has delivered some of 2012's biggest club tracks. Bunny Tiger will feature some of the hottest collaborations to come in 2013: Phonique, Kolombo, Tapesh and more to come
Newbie Nerdz met at the corner of London upcoming New Burlington Street in 2010, spooning the sounds of the streets of london and munching into their crunchy slice of pizza, these duo have a unique frame of sounds and sights. Expanding their horizons by travelling to different places and experiencing different cultures and things, they have then used them to recreate their thoughts and ideas paraphrasing their feelings and soul into it.
They have spent a lot of hours of redefining their styles and researching through technology new and old and methods of incorporating their uniqueness into it.
Its not just sounds that you make music out of it but you inject life into the sounds that makes the music speaks.
SION, a young 20 year old producer based in Lancaster, has been making waves in the House scene over the last six months with a string of releases on independent House labels, from the likes of the North's Nasty Funk and London-based Sleazy Deep.
SION, real name Sion Elliot, had his talent and consistently strong output of work rewarded at the end of 2012, with a single and EP deal from Chase & Status' multi-genre label MTA, home to 2012 club smasher by Ben Pearce - What I Might Do, after they discovered him via his keenly followed SoundCloud page.
Since then he's signed to Kumasi Music for bookings, and has gone from strength to strength. With a host of gigs across Europe - including Ibiza - and a string of festivals appearances lined up for the summer, SION looks like he could fast be becoming one of the hottest artists of 2013.
