MARK RADFORD (Audio Rehab, London)
Mark Radford, who started his Saturday night Rinse FM slot in April 2011 after his profile had steadily grown over the preceding few years, has been a pioneering figure in the garage deep house shift.
Drawn to, and inspired by, tech house’s hypnotic, bass-heavy drive, he found himself frustrated with what he saw as a lack of soul in much of the genre. So in 2008 he began to dig deeply for tracks that kept the rawness and energy intact but didn’t sacrifice any of the melody and musicality.
Way back in the nineties did Dutchman Camiel begin losing himself in synths, computers and other noise making machines, already fascinated by sound at a young age. It is for this reason that he is primarily a producer – someone who is happy to lock himself down and work on a track for days on end, honing and honing his music for maximum dance floor effect.
Local amsterdam vibration purveyor and main man behind the deep house sound arriving fresh like fire out of london is no other than the one and only Simon Titus. A household name for over a decade in the Netherlands , aka mc spyder ,making dance floors move is doing what he loves most …listen as simon defines deep house bring your ears close, bring your body closer and move to the dark sexy basslines.
His DJ career began in 1989, and in no time Tom was spinning alongside now legendary DJ’s and producers like Todd Terry, Paul Oakenfold, Marshal Jefferson, Norman Jay and Kerri Chandler to name but a few. Tom is without doubt one of the old school pioneers of a genre that has become a vast global industry… HOUSE MUSIC!
Thara has now been actively spinning for 4 years, her gigs vary from a smaller venues to large crowds. Her raw yet funky sounds are influenced by both the warm weather and the city life.
Her preference is techno, though it varies from pumping house with a twist to active tech- house which gradually turns into raw techno. She has a wide variety of music and is not afraid to mix it up a little.
