MENDy aka Jonathan Mendelsohn -
Jonathan “MENDy” Mendelsohn has been obsessed with music all his life however has been a DJ professionally for over sixteen years. Starting when he was 13 years old as an apprentice for a family friend who owned a mobile disc jockey company in Upstate New York, by 15 he was DJinfg school dances, bar mitzvahs, proms, sweet sixteens and more. He did his first wedding at 16 and, despite looking uncharacteristically young for a wedding DJ, ended the night with great success and the entire party singing his praises. This success continued to grow over the following years due to Jonathan’s high level of training, his passion for improving his craft, a very discerning level of taste for music of all kinds, and the level of professionalism and service he was able to provide. After entertaining at countless events of all shapes and sizes, Jonathan’s love for music took him to the ‘Big Apple’ at age 20 to attend New School University where he studied Recording Engineering. His main passion now is recording and trying to make it as a singer/songwriter in the music industry.
Since moving to NYC Jonathan has DJ’ed at some of New York City’s hottest nightspots, provided music events for Armani Exchange, Nike, Showtime, American Cancer Society and many other venues around NYC and beyond.
He has been a celebrated NYC-based DJ for the better part of a decade, regularly performing at acclaimed clubs throughout his native city and beyond. In 2011 alone, he played alongside some of the world's biggest djs, the likes of Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz, and Ferry Corsten in front of sold-out crowds at Roseland Ballroom, Best Buy Theater, Pacha NYC, and of course Electric Zoo.
This past year, Zack's music has reached an even wider audience through his original productions and remixes. Zack now has music signed to a variety of top international labels, including Enhanced Music, Anjunadeep, Flashover, Silk Royal, and Baroque Records. As both a DJ and producer, his style of music can be described as progressive, and always 100% danceable. His DJ sets and productions alike showcase his passion for numerous genres of electronic dance music - from tech house to electro, progressive to trance.
Under his 'Monoverse' alias, has just started to contribute to the electronic dance music world. The twenty-two year old producer has been working with two others under the Adastra guise, and recently started to share his individual productions. Being an active DJ in the New York City scene, Santos' musical style reflects the diverse tastes of the areas listener-ship by incorporating a blend of different genres in his sets as well as his productions.
