Hipsters, yuppies, Euros, NYU sophomores, would-be bohemians, post-Occupy squatters, organic rooftop farmers, and even the New York Times have noticed – there’s something about Brooklyn that’s ripe for the picking. Williamsburg rent prices are giving Manhattan a run for its money, and the skyrocketing rent-raises are making their way further into this newfound frontier with each subway stop. We’re gearing up to lead the charge for the modern-day Gold Rush that is the Brooklyn real estate market.
Yes, in the past we’ve put on a decent show or two, but in the grand scheme of things, dollars trump dancing and that’s why in the next couple months we’ll be shifting gears from fun to fiscal responsibility and launching Brooklyn Frontier, a one-of-its-kind boutique real estate development company that specializes in spearheading its way into the untapped territory that is our great borough’s former industrial sector. Yes, most of American jobs and industry have been sent to China, Bangladesh, or Guatemalan sweatshops, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find a new use for the industrial spaces of old. In a place where old garages become hipster hangouts, former rocket factories can be post-grad dorm rooms, and a former sewage treatment plant becomes a raver walkabout, it’s only a matter of time before the fittest part of our financial species starts the property grabbing while the getting is good. Brooklyn is past ready for the taking.
Our ancestors may have had the Oregon Trail, but we have the L Train. Starting this fall, we’ll begin our mission to turn every last square inch of former industrial space into the dream luxury condominium every Craigslist connoisseur craves.
At Brooklyn Frontier, our flawless three-step business plan is simple.
Step 1: Buy everything.
Step 2: ….
Step 3: Profit.
One warehouse-turned-stainless-steel-equipped luxury condo at a time, our borough’s virgin soil is destined to become the home of the future leaders of America (or, at least, what’s left of it).
This all sounds great, huh? We think so.
There’s only one piece missing: If we’re going to transform Brooklyn into the luxurious commuter home of tomorrow, we need YOU – well, we really need your money, but you’re welcome to come along for the ride. Brooklyn Frontier’s initial public offering will be held on Saturday, September 28th. It’s a weekend, so be sure to dress for success. It’s always better to show up business-casual than to go home a business-casualty. Come on down to Brooklyn Frontier’s launch event, check your coat and open your checkbook. Let’s get down to business.

Crew Love is the family unit made up of Wolf + Lamb, Soul Clap, No Regular Play, Pillow Talk, Tanner Ross, Slow Hands, Navid Izadi and Nick Monaco. Brothers from different mothers, these boys come together to throw down a unique party vibe like only they know how.
The squad has grown over several years, encompassing artists that key Crew Love members Wolf + Lamb and Soul Clap have met along their travels on the road. Through tireless partying, A & R work and the creative hub that is The Marcy in New York, the two duos have brought together an impressive line-up of artists who deliver a definite musical mission statement.
Bound by a love of music that exists beyond the world of typical dance music – the blues, indie rock, roots reggae, r ‘n’ b, hip hop – the members of Crew Love produce and play records that are deep, melodic, feel good and readymade for the dancefloor; whether that dancefloor is at an open air party on the coast in Barcelona, in the garden at a best friend’s afternoon BBQ or in a living room full of strangers cracking on at 11am after a big night out. Crew Love will make you dance, at any day or night.
So who’s in the Crew? There’s the duo of Wolf + Lamb, who run the label of the same name and are renowned for killer house and disco sets laced with pure soul. Their multi-level New York space The Marcy has seen some historic parties go down and is where much of the crew go to record tunes. These dudes boss it, basically.
Then there’s Soul Clap, another duo with a much-respected label and talent for DJing. You’ll surely have come across one of their low slung, r ‘n’b-flecked sets, which come peppered with their own edits, productions and prime taste in groove-heavy 4/4.
The rest of the Crew come close behind: Brooklyn-based duo No Regular Play make awesome deep house, Pillow Talk create irresistible pop from an underground perspective, Tanner Ross and Slow Hands both deal in sun-splashed jams, Navid Izadi channels the spirit of Prince and every perfect party you’ve ever had and Nick Monaco is the young gun with great taste both in the booth and behind the production desk.
