TODD SINES

Todd Sines has long been a staple of the international electronic music scene, starting with his first release as Enhanced on Detroit's Planet E in 1993's "Elements Of and Experiments With Sound." He's also recorded for labels like the UK's Peacefrog, Detroit's 7th City [with Dan Bell as .xtrak], Background, Reinforced, Residual, Ecco.Chamber, and Chair. His remix credits include releases for Irma, PTR, 21/22, Contact, as well as for Alexander Robotnick on Scatalogics, !!! for Touch and Go, Charles Webster, amongst many others. His music has been played by everyone from mainstream sensation, Danny Tenaglia to micro-house master Ricardo Villalobos to Gilles Peterson and Richie Hawtin [featured on his 1996 Mixmag compilation]. Sines was named as one of the URB Magazine's "Top 100 to Watch." He brought such acts as Safety Scissors, Monolake, Twine, and Stewart Walker to Columbus in conjunction with events with the FIREXIT collective. Todd plays a selection of deep-tech house, jazz funk, techno, all with an eclectic [often with Pan-American / tribal influences] but still minimal edge.

He's worked with everyone from Carl Craig, Titonton Duvanté, Charles Noel, and vocalist Natacha Labelle. He's performed live at the 2001 Detroit Electronic Music Festival and toured internationally several times, playing in Spain, central Europe, Holland, Denmark, as well as many dates all over North America.

ARCH_TYP

New York City-based electronic music producer Charles Noel worked quietly behind the scenes of electronic dance music throughout the 1990s, overseeing the experimental imprint called the 21-22 Corporation. As co-founder of Ele_mental artists’ collective with Todd Sines and Titonton Duvante, he played an important role energizing the nascent underground electronic music scene throughout the Mid-western U.S., while presenting cutting-edge artists including Claude Younge, Juan Atkins, DJ Rolando, and DJ Spooky.

With several full-length albums under his belt on Jay Denham's (Disko-B, Transmat) BlackNation Records, and the U.K.'s Theory Records, as well as a slew of singles and appearances on numerous compilations and mix CDs, Charles (better known to the world as Archetyp) is no stranger to the international electronic music scene. Charles has also performed in various venues around North America and Europe, including after-hours performances for the Detroit Electronic Music Festival with Akufen and Orlando Voorn and the SONAR festival in Barcelona, appearing alongside Jeff Mills, Aphex Twin, Richard Divine, Matmos, and John Peel.

VJ DY3KT

The DY3KT live experience may suggest an apacolyptic event being broadcast through a broken television or a scrambled LED screen. Rapid image sequences convey sexual, political, and psychological themes. Often it's "art therapy," wherein the viewer can peer into Daniel's dysfunctional adulthood as well as childhood relationships with himself and others. Other times, it's powerful social commentary and a reflection on the paradoxes of the human condition.

In the last year, DY3KT has performed at Berlin's Schlagstrom Fest, exhibited in the past two increments of "Arts in Bushwick" and has recently VJ'd at the High Rollers New Order Documentary event at Monkeytown in Brooklyn, NY. He's collaborated to produce Adam X's 2008 video, Sounds at the Siding and is 1/2 of an on-going collaborative effort, BPMF/DY3KT with Jason "BPMF" Szostek from Prototype 909. By day, he works as a Creative Professional at the advertising firm, Deep Focus.
