January saw the re-launch of Hat Club in Brighton which proved more than ever that Hat Club is fast becoming one of the most talked about events in the country. The super funky refurbishment of Digital makes the club a perfect home for Hat Club – although it’s best to get down there early as it’s always completely packed!

Gracing the decks at this event is a multitude of maestro’s; headlining the main room are The BeatThiefs AKA Henry Hacking and Tee Vegas. The BeatThiefs seem to be unstoppable in gaining new fans across the globe – maybe it’s their dynamic DJ sets, maybe it’s their rapidly increasing production portfolio (with remixes for the likes of Simple Minds and Switch) or maybe it’s the combination of both that make them one of the busiest and exciting acts of this year. They’ve recently appeared on the Hat Club middle-eastern tour, and have played just about everywhere worth playing worldwide, gaining nothing but adoration from fans and industry alike along the way!

Hat Club has also enlisted the skills of one half of their regular DJ acts Prok & Fitch. When he’s not busy being 50% of the DJ/production duo of the moment, James Fitch is busy in the studio and behind the decks, building his empire and rocking the dance as a solo act. James Fitch is a Brighton resident, and knows the scene like no other; a truly momentous set is in store – be sure not to miss it!

Accompanying these Hat Club heavyweights is Vince Frimpong, Hat Club regular and the most entertaining DJ on the Brighton circuit! Vince’s energetic sets are second to none, his uplifting tunes and knowledge of Hat Club guarantee you a seriously dazzling selection every single party, Hat Club ethos embodied!

‘Warm Techno’ pioneers Electric Sex are hosting the arch room, armed with an arsenal of their speciality sound, ready to welcome you into their world of New Balearic Darkness. Late Night Music for Late Night people is their trademark - so be prepared for a new experience as Hat Club joins forces with the after party specialists!

Also appearing at this event is Brighton DJ and all round musical genius Ed Hamilton. Ed will be showcasing the new Torq Xponent from M Audio – the first glimpse of this new piece of kit and its unbelievable ability is another reason why this event is really not to be missed.

The first rule of Hat Club is don’t talk about Hat Club – but after seeing this line-up, I’m sure they’d understand if the odd comment got out!
