Q: What is Pleasurekraft??
A: A simultaneously visceral and cerebral experience induced only by the seductive, deep, groove heavy, underground techno inspired music that you hear the kids listening to .. - Common side effects include: unrelenting head bobbing giving way to complete surrender to physical movement commonly referred to as 'dancing'.
Q: Where is Pleasurekraft??
A: In your CD/tape deck/vinyl/mp3/neighborhood Club/Lounge - anywhere where organically inspired synthetic music lurks, ready to jump in your skin and make you move! However, the most concentrated "red spots" have appeared to be in 2 distinct locations - Stockholm, Sweden, and Miami, Florida.
Q: When is Pleasurekraft??
A: Since the dawn of man, to the future of our future of our future.....
Q: Why is Pleasurekraft??
A: Because we are hedonists and when the groove captures you - all you can do is surrender with pleasure.
DJ and producer, Geddes is one of the true pioneers of the house and techno scene in London. Among those ahead of the game when it came to the decline of the super club and the dawn of a new era of raves in warehouses, Geddes and the now legendary event series mulletover, (founded in 2004) became an integral cog in the evolution of a thriving underground, next year sees the event enter its tenth year making it a benchmark in London rave history.
In the intervening decade, Geddes has turned his attention to a number of projects including the launch of the murmur imprint in 2008 and now the launch of nofitstate music, a new label that aims to build on the integrity of event. On the production front, Geddes has been honing his skills since 2006 with releases on labels such as Moodmusic, Mobilee and Tsuba and of course own label murmur. Crafting a tougher sharper sound of late and treading the line between house and techno, EPs in 2013 came on Leftroom, Adam Beyer’s Truesoul imprint and a rather impressive follow-up EP on Mobillee Records.
Samu.l is a name fast becoming synonymous with a distinct style of house and techno.
Focussing on the dancefloor, he creates deep, emotive tracks with a groove, and more often than not building to that perfect peak time moment. His sets are a representation of his own sound, with rolling basslines and a stripped-back style capable of adapting to any set time. He has performed at some of the UK's best institutions including Fabric, Fuse, Lo*kee and Below.
Prominent labels including Saved and One Records have released his material, with regular support from the likes of Marco Carola and Steve Bug. He constantly experiments and evolves his sound in the studio and has a number of exciting new productions and remixes to be released.
