Josh Wink introduced Three & I in the Summer of 2004, shortly after I moved to New York. Josh was pretty insistant on the 2 of us meeting, as he felt we were likeminded individuals who would get along famously. The man could not have been more correct! Upon our first meeting, we were already dorking out over classic Detroit Techno, Chicago Acid House, and UK stuff like 808 State and LFO: some of my favorite topics of music discussion. Over the years, he & I have discussed playing together in an all night situation, going back and forth and just seeing where the records and the night take us. But, in the past 4 years, his career has been expanding so much that he is rarely in the city to do such a thing. As a former quarterly guest of Robots here in NYC he's now about to begin his Hallucienda residency with Blk|market Membership. This in addition to being a regular at other underground staples like his own Snatch night in Tampa, Compression in Los Angeles and one-offs like Rebel Nation with friend and Crosstown Rebels honcho Damian Lazarus. Not to mention running his own label Hallucination Limited. Needless to say, the man is pretty busy! So, after 4 years of missed opportunities and conflicting DJ schedules, we will finally get the chance to tear it down together! So, join us on Thursday, July 10th for the 3rd installment of my GO!! parties at APT, where Three & I will share our favorite classics, as well as current party rockers, in an intimate setting with one of the best sound systems in the city. It will surely be a night to remember.
