listed Productions is no stranger to the San Francisco LoveFest having been a major player in previous years. This year will be no different as they kick the festival off on Friday, October 3rd, by welcoming Lee Burridge for the second installment of ‘Get Weird’ and his fourth appearance at the San Francisco LoveFest.
Lee Burridge is definitely a man on a mission. For over two decades, Lee has been spreading his own unique sound that blends house, techno, and breaks. Winning over both audiences and fellow DJs alike, he is most comfortable where the party is. This ideology has taken him from his early years in Hong Kong, to a residency with Craig Richards as Tyrant at the hallowed club Fabric in London. Most recently Lee has become a huge fan of the purist ideals of the dance scene in Romania, as well as the Burning Man festival in the US.
Shunning genre loyalty, his musical mantra can be summed up in this recent quote from an interview with Ron Slomowicz: “It’s good music or bad music, and that’s it. It’s not segregated into trends.” Taking this refreshing outlook on the current state of dance music one step further, Lee has partnered with listed to manifest an atmosphere that compliments his DJ style. Born from Lee’s own mind, and after a successful proper San Francisco underground event in July of this year, ‘Get Weird’ is an exciting night with the attendees being just as important as the DJ himself. listed will be dressing up Mighty to set the tone for the night and are inviting the clubbing public to also don a suggested attire of ‘the weirderer, the betterer’.
Along side Lee that night in the main room with be listed residents Mike Khoury and Tim McCormack, not to mention a listed patio and a VWP (Very Weird Person) room anchored by listed resident Naveen G and supported by notable others like Jeffery Allen, Jason Short, Mike Hiratzka and Treavor from Moontribe.
After being voted the “Best New Club in America” by URB Magazine, Mighty is the perfect location for this event located on the fringes of the city at 119 Utah Street. As an added bonus, Whump Sound! will be providing a additional wattage for the night with its TurboSound System. The DJ sets will be recorded and aired on Proton Internet Radio later in the month. Presales are now available at www.getweirder.com. Be prepared to Get Down and Get Weird!
