Flying in from New York this week, we’re lucky to have one of New York’s finest DJs, Eamon Harkin as our guest. He’s behind NYC’s wildly successful FUN & Calling All Kids parties hosting everyone from Modeselektor to Grandmaster Flash. He’s also been responsible for this Summer’s best Sunday outdoor party bringing the likes of Kevin Saunderson, Move D and Trusme to “Sunday Best”. Not only that but he is about to drop a new 12” of edits on Wurst Records and manages to hold a weekly residency with the legend that is Afrika Bambaataa. The Derry-born DJ plays a delightful and accessible amalgam of the weird and wonderful which is wide in terms of genre terms but holds steady in aesthetic terms and quality; from campy disco gems, to the austere sounds of early house & techno, set alongside new wave oddities and fresher sounds in those same traditions.
