STANTON PUBLIC TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY
w/guest DJs Sal Principato (Liquid Liquid), Paddy Boom & James F!@.$%^ Friedman

On Friday, December 12th, Manhattan’s Stanton Public will be throwing a big bash to celebrate its second anniversary. Though still a relative newbie to the Lower East Side, Stanton Public has been keeping the musical tradition of the downtown alive, with a roster of taste-making DJs as well as past guest selectors like Peter Bjorn & John, Victoria Bergsman (ex-Concretes/Taken By Trees), and recently a Beggars Group/Matador Records CMJ Party with the Teenagers, Times New Viking and Bill Hayes (of Jay Reatard’s band) behind the decks.

This party will be a celebration of New York’s music scene. Hosted by Other Music’s Gerald Hammill (resident of Thursday night’s Know Your Product), guest DJs for the night include: SAL PRINCIPATO of the legendary post-punk band LIQUID LIQUID, whose percussive urban grooves have been hailed by everyone from Moby and the Beastie Boys to LCD Soundsystem; PADDY BOOM (original drummer of the SCISSOR SISTERS) who will be spinning all things funky; and JAMES F!@.$%^ FRIEDMAN (Defend Music/Throne of Blood), whose slammin’ sets run the gamut, from punk-funk to spaced-out Italo disco to acid-tinged techno, and beyond.

The anniversary party kicks off at 10PM with a new drink special every hour. There’s no cover but send an email to rsvp@stantonpublic.com to guarantee entry.
