Feel the drama! Live the suspense! Experience the pure comic chaos of Live Radio Plays at The Studio!

That’s right; the popular series of live-to-air radio plays (now with added pre-broadcast variety acts!) returns this July.

After a short, sharp slap of cabaret and stand up comedy, a star-studded cast will take to the mic and bring each play to life before your eyes and ears. Boo, hiss and laugh along with live sound FX by FBi’s own Brett Maverix as The Studio and FBi 94.5 revive the lost art of radio adventure.

So sit down, tune in and get involved as two plays - sourced from a Sydney-wide FBi94.5 competition finding the best young wireless wordsmiths.

PRE-SHOW: Connie Chang Cabaret Roadshow-when Connie Chang pulls into town, expect glamour, laughs, show tunes, paparazzi and the sweat of ambition.
LIVE RADIO PLAY: The Body in the Basement – a suburban comedy by Alex Broun (artistic co-ordinator of ‘Shorter & Sweeter’) and directed by Sarah Goodes. Be alert and alarmed by terrorists in the basement – a cautionary tale for neo-conservative times.
