While everybody seems to be focusing far too much attention on the Iron eagle, it seems something interesting (besides copious amounts of skunk and tulips) has been brewing in Holland for the last few years. Artists like Kabale und Liebe, Shinedoe and Julien Chaptal have all been making big waves on the underground circuit.
And it's for this reason we are well chuffed to have secured one of their leading exports 2000 and one to headline as part of his Heritage album tour
2000 and one is an artist who has really impressed us of late . His set at sonar last year blew us away, his productions have been consistently spot on and his labels Intacto (alongside shindoe) Remote Area, Area Remote, 100% Pure and bangbang haven't left our record boxes in months. We welcome the chance to demonstrate his new material and shake up the dancefloor.
Support comes from Label mate and protégé Lauhaus. We are Predicting big things for the Amsterdam based dj/producer . Some of you will know Lauhaus through his Polder moniker alongside production partner David Labeij whose debut album on Shindoe's Intacto label was well received globally. He is also one of the members of the 6 men laptop collective "Amsterdam 661". His DJ and live gigs have taken him to the Awakenings Festival, Panoramabar, Lowlands, Mondo Madrid and more over the past few years. Both their sounds incorporate heavy doses of funk, percussion and rhythm. Just how we like it!
Completing the main room line up is Craig Torrance, resident at Bristol's legendary afterparty BUMP. A renowned Dj & producer with a number of recent releases on murmur, Moodmusic and Four:twenty. Guest spots have come thick and fast over the years, seeing him grace the decks at Panorama in Berlin, Fabric and the Arches in Glasgow . Craig Joins resident Simon Morell in a fresh beginning for DDD and an event packed full of our dependable party spirit..
Room 2 is hosted by LOOSE, a London party that started life in 2005 and have stamped their sweaty marks on places like Alhambra, East Village, The Hub and secretsundaze before settling into their residency at Platinum. Loose dig all things brass, block and bell and of course bangs, bleeps and beats. Musical influence comes from early 80's New York, late 80's Detroit & Chicago, mid 70's Philadelphia and revellers from across the globe. Rooty co-founder and Basement Jaxx associate Frank Tope Join's Loose residents Paul Crognale, Cred & Aitch (moustache mamas) for twisted fun in the back room.
