Warm return for their third installment of their exclusive residency at Plastic People on Friday March 20th. This month we welcome all four of the Horse Meat Disco residents for one night only.
The brainchild of James Hillard and Jim Stanton and inspired by late New York nightlife legend Adam Goldstone, HORSE MEAT DISCO has become synonymous with amazing alternative parties that draw on the spirit of famed New York clubs like The Loft and The Gallery and update it for today’s party crowds. Since starting out with their first nights in London’s Chinatown in 2003, Hillard and Stanton, alongside DJs Severino and Filthy Luka (Luke Howard, ex-Queer Nation), have created a veritable institution on both sides of the sexual divide due in large part to their discerning musical tastes and dedication to Disco music in all its forms.
With a residency firmly established at the Eagle in London’s Vauxhall, HORSE MEAT DISCO became a global prospect during 2007-8, hosting the NYC Downlow at the Glastonbury and Lovebox festivals and touring New York, Istanbul, Paris, Berlin and beyond. They also regularly attract A-list guest DJs to spin at their parties including Dimitri From Paris, Derrick Carter, Daniele Baldelli, James Murphy & Prins Thomas
2009 is set to be a phenomenal year for HORSE MEAT DISCO with residencies at Fabric in London, Social Club in Paris, Otto Santral in Istanbul and Tape in Berlin and confirmed festival dates including Glastonbury, Lovebox and a dance tent takeover at The Big Chill.
