A little about DJ Theresa:

From the country that brought the world Shakira and Erick Morillo, Colombia's Dj Theresa is the perfect amalgamation of the two superstars - a talented musician and a dangerously energetic dj. Having played alongside top talent ranging from Macy Gray and Ivano Bellini, to The Scumfrog, Dj Theresa has a following that grows by the minute. She has djed at the US' finest venues from Mynt and Nikki Beach in Miami to Mansion and Cain in New York and has held residencies at the legendary Spank @1223 in Washington D.C, and now Josephine's, D.C's finest venue.

"I will do anything to make you move...anything," says Dj Theresa half jokingly as she plays a rhythmic beat on her bongos during a WMC rooftop event amidst a stunning view from the top of the prestigious Sony Rooftop Building. As usual, within minutes of getting behind the decks her energy spreads like a wildfire.

By the age of 14, Theresa was already composing her own music, was part of several independent rock bands, and had played at Miami's hottest venues as a live percussionist. Both a lyricist and musician, Theresa has taken part in various major events such as Miami's annual "Amor de la Musica" concert, hosted in the Miami area.

Once Theresa began listening to the deep house tunes of 2000, her interest in electronic music grew and she discovered djing was the perfect avenue where she could do what she loved the most - not only have an audience listen to her play music, but also have them go crazy for it.

Pursuing her intellectual curiosity at Georgetown University did not stop her from continuing her obsessions with music and djing. She spent most of her time between the library and wherever her music took her - domestically and globally.

Theresa has now played around the world in exclusive events ranging from fashion shows to club openings, special guest invitations as well as many opening acts for DJs she admires. Her career continues to grow and prosper as the world of electronic music contagiously spreads.
