Sheffield makes fucking good steel, and not many people know this, but it also produces a pretty fly DJ or two. Toddla T; sounds like a bleep techno whore; stings like a lanky string of piss and promises to introduce the Deviate dynasty to the revolutionary sound of what is to come.

Working his South Yorkshire magic on 1965 Records at the moment Toddla T is just about the splash all over your face like an effervescent fury of lush beats with his long anticipated album expected soon.

Pangaea greeted the dub step scene in the backroom of a Leeds club in 2005 at the city’s first dub step night, Ruffage. Today Pangaea steps forward as an established DJ/producer and co-owner of the legendary Hessle Audio alongside his brothers in arms, Ramadanman and Ben UFO.

Techno and dub step merge in the fertile fields of Hessle Audio, like the Von Trapps flourished with Maria and after years of nurture and tender loving care, the product burst onto the scene with an eye to change the sound of dub step.

Thanks to Burial’s South London Boroughs EP, Pangaea switched his sound to dark, lurid, heavy; and tracks such as the influential ‘Router’ began to appear. We’re soon to see a highly anticipated release on Scuba’s ‘Hot Flush’ label, watch the skies this March.

The pristine plains of techno have started to prick up their lank, Vitamin D-less ears and pay attention to this future sound of dub step...This sound may well be the liquid gold of dub step. So let’s flip the lid and inhale deeply.
