COLONY
It's March, the birds are singing and COLONY is back with what's set to be its biggest, baddest knees-up so far, now spread over two rooms for optimal raving pleasure. Credit crunch woes need not interfere as entry is still only a fiver (or less if you're the early doors type). Bonus.

Headlining the occasion is Bristol's multi-talented drum n bass supremo, Eveson – DJ, producer, graphic artist and newly established label-owner – who'll be bringing along an up-front selection of deep, driving beats plucked straight from the D&B top drawer (and beyond). With a spate of hotly-anticipated singles and remixes in the pipeline, not to mention an electric K Mag covermount, artwork duties for top-notch labels Metalheadz, Exit and Quarantine, Radio 1 airplay, and, of course, his very own Channel82 imprint, the man really is all over it right now. Expect big things! 2nd up is north London's much-revered bass technician and Runtime Records co-owner, Elemental, who has a destructive catalogue of breakstepping singles to his name and ranks among a select-few British producers to have featured on Stefan Betke's legendary ~scape imprint. He'll be performing COLONY's first ever live PA, and you can bet your bottom dollar it'll be dark and heavy all the way. Check! Last but not least, we're delighted to be welcoming east London newcomer Spatial, of infrasonics.net. Hot on the heels of a killer dub-techno-meets-UK-garage debut EP (the object of fevered appreciation from Boomkat all the way through The Wire), you can expect an on-point selection of future dub/techno/2-step emissions from the man.

Main room support comes from COLONY regulars Modus, Tommy DLB, and MB & CB, playing the usual assortment of techno, dubstep, D&B and electronica, with mellower vibes in the basement courtesy of Macphellimey and Bitbasic. Visual duties fall to COLONY's in-house retina abuser, Darkin, who'll be joined on this occasion by guest VJ(s) Parallax, of the perennially excellent Digital City crew.

Serious business then. And for little or nothing by way of hard-earned dollar. Get involved!
