Boomtick pres. The Klub Kids Tour 2009
Sampology's Super Visual Disco Party
It’s time for another selection of highly sought after talented Australian performers! Boomtick are pleased to present the Klub Kids Tour, being hosted by Perth’s freshest venue, Villa Nightclub!
Australia has hung on Kid Kenobi’s every move for over a decade now, with the Sydney sider delivering on every front - voted Number 1 DJ in the Technics InTheMix Top 50 three years in a row, he has received numerous Australian Dance Music Awards for Australian DJ of the Year, NSW DJ of the Year and Remix of the Year, and he is the only Australian to ever have a ‘Ministry of Sound’ special sessions named after him.
One of the more infamous duos would be Kid Kenobi and MC Shureshock, who have been gracing the festival circuit in Australia and the world over. Whilst also focusing on their own side projects, the duo is still considered formidable partners in crime.
Kid Kenobi has been spending a lot of time in the studio (his first production, The Bump – collaboration with Hook N Sling - scored him an ARIA nomination for Best Dance Release.) with forthcoming releases both solo and under his new side project, “Two Fresh” with his brother in blood and art, HuggaThugg. Shureshock is keeping busy with his deep progressive tech performances, alongside James Taylor, currently becoming a regular feature on the club circuit, meanwhile his old skool rave show with Sydney producer Tom Howell as Q45 & MC N03 (Shureshock’s original MC moniker from the early 90s) is taking you way back all across Sydney.
Sampology has fast established himself as one of the country’s most talented, technically proficient, versatile and unique DJ/producers. Versatility is the key to Sampology’s positioning as possibly the most versatile working DJ in Australia, from night-to-night, week-to-week consistently delivering faultless sets be they hip hop, rare groove, disco & funk jams, Baltimore or house.
Sampology’s Super Visual Disco Party is a cutting edge AV show involving the manipulation of video clips using 2 turntables transmitting both audio and visual in perfect synch over speakers and onto screens. A DVD release is scheduled for 2009.
