On Bank Holiday Sunday 24th May, Lock N Load Events presents Connected at London’s KOKO featuring two of Europe’s most exciting breakthrough DJ/Producers of the past few years - Style Of Eye and Bart B More, alongside some of the capital’s hottest up-and-coming talent.
Lock up your genres - Linus Eklow, aka STYLE OF EYE, is ripping up the rule book with his debut artist album, difficult to describe as anything other than the sort of music that makes you want to call your boss and tell them you’re not coming back to work on Monday. The Stockholm born and based DJ/producer is making a name for himself in techno, but his productions are essentially a journey through everything from techno to house via raw percussion and minimal, floaty melodies and downright weird noises. Both intelligent but jaw-wobblingly satisfying at the same time, Style Of Eye’s productions are testament to the hotbed of talent springing forth from the underground scene. His most recent productions on Dirtybird and John Dahlbäck’s Pickadoll label have been immense – ‘The Big Kazoo’ E.P, was followed up by ‘The Prophet’ (Pickadoll), and ‘The Clown’ – which propelled Style Of Eye in the mainstream conscious with major support by Radio 1 and Pete Tong in particular. As you’d expect from someone who cites influences as diverse as Stevie Wonder, nineteenth century classical composer Edvard Grieg, and Yello... Style Of Eye isn’t keen to be pigeonholed. His moniker comes from a desire to put everything out under one name, regardless of what it sounds like. Says Linus: “Since I take in so much different music and put it in a blender I wanted to be able to put everything I see and that inspires me into one project. This album is a huge step from my first release but you can still hear that it’s me”. With a remix for Moby under his belt and a globe-trotting diary keeping him busy, Style of Eye is proof that cutting edge house isn’t Sweden’s only hottest export and don’t miss him at KOKO where he headlines this exclusive Bank Holiday show.
Next up is BART B MORE. Think of the newest craze in the international house scene and only one name comes to mind... Bart B More. After the massive international support on ‘So It Goes’ and Bart’s ‘Freak’ remix for Sandy Rivera (both crowned Essential New Tune by Pete Tong!) the buzz seems to be growing by the minute! Combining his love for beat-driven, looped techno with big room house and electro, Bart has been able to create a refreshing new cross-over sound. Resulting in highly successful remixes like Chocolate Puma’s ‘Touch Me’, Sandy Rivera’s ‘Freak’, Wiley’s ‘Summertime’ and Ron Carroll’s ‘Walking Down the Street’, not to mention original material like ‘Make Some Noise’, ‘Killing It’ and dancefloor monster ‘Finally’ Vs Oliver Twizt. With upcoming releases, remixes and worldwide support from the likes of Laidback Luke, Diplo, Crookers, Switch, Roger Sanchez, Erick Morillo, Tiesto and Armin van Buren we can truly say Bart is up there, right where he should be. Catch him make his highly anticipated debut at KOKO, where he’ll be joined in KOKO’s legendary main room by Connected main man Jesse James, with support from Chris Aidy, Jon O, Filth & Splendour and Jon Kong. Meanwhile upstairs Clique & Bang Disco throw down the house grooves with DJs Lewis Wright, Lewi Five-O & Brad Hepburn, Ryan Mac, Dj 2, James Murray, Dan Holloway, Seb Rumore & P.J Lee and Muzz Khan heading the controls.

CONNECTED exploded onto the scene in a major way back in November 2007 at Ministry of Sound. Having rammed out the prestigious venue for 5 successive months, the guys went on a rampage of London and the South East with regular sell out shows at Pacha, Area and The House & Terrace amongst many others. Connected is defiantly a club brand to watch out for and last year, alongside Lock N Load Events, they held their 3rd Birthday bash with French superstar David Guetta topping the bill at KOKO. LOCK N LOAD EVENTS meanwhile need no introduction, having given London some of the greatest club nights ever over the past decade! In South West Four and Get Loaded in the Park, LNL produces two of the UK’s leading one day festivals, whilst The Gallery (held weekly at Ministry of Sound) is one of the world’s most established parties. KOKO is also like a second home to LNL with recent outings including sell out’s - Carl Cox 24/7, Swedish House Mafia and Grooverider’s Comeback gig to name a few.
