Kicking off each year in the United States and travelling to over 30 cities, Resfest is a global festival dedicated to profiling digital film, music, art, design and technology.
A feature of the festival "Cinema Electronica" presents a selection of the best contemporary beat-driven music videos.
Twin trends of DIY innovation and handcrafted animation permeate this year's Cinema Electronica program.
The 2005 lineup includes electronic mainstays The Chemical Brothers delivering a high-energy krump session in Galvanize and nightmarish robotic hallucinations in Believe, whilst Basement Jaxx take the Queen out for a debauched night on the town in U Don't Know Me.
Animated styles ranging from felt stop-motion to CGI to Yellow Submarine-inspired psychedelia emerge in videos for Coldcut, Jori Hulkonnen and Quasimoto, whilst clips like Jaron Albertin's 7 Minutes for Circlesquare challenge the viewer to discover the significance of a single shattered moment.
Let your curiosity get the better of you! Check out Cinema Electronica
