RA exclusive: Stream Amirali's LP for Crosstown Rebels
Ever the astute A&R operation, Damian Lazarus' imprint here presents another highly promising talent in the form of Iranian-Canadian artist Amirali. The 13-track In Time is a woozy brew of downtempo, house and pop.

Wed, 07 Nov 2012no doubt is with no doubt one of the greatest tracks of 2012, maybe not that playable or clubfocused but for intensive listening its perfect.

Tue, 03 Jul 2012Use of euphonium in more than two of the tracks...gets my vote as a euphoniumist! Yeah, the album is laid back, even in the more pumped up tracks, but also really creates a beautiful mood.

Sun, 17 Jun 2012I think the problem here is not in the album itself, which by any measure is atleast a 3.5, but Crosstown Rebels which have been pushing a certain brand of synth driven vocal 80s influenced house, which is begging to go out of fashion before it even became fashionable. Its a problem all labels face when their sound becomes too focused. It might work well for their fanbase, but for the average listener, they're quick to push the 'Next' button. Lazarus and crew need to diversify their sound...

Sun, 20 May 20123.5 is pushing it but it's not spectacular and doesn't deserve anything better than that. i think RA have hit the nail on this one in terms of ratings. generally the rating's have been off the mark for a few releases this year but this one they have got it right.
