Fri, 20 Jul 2012They do seem be exhibit 'style over substance' to a degree; frequency responce charts and reviews all indicate a dipped top-end, and hence an over-prominent bass. The sound may be to some peoples' taste, but for listening/producing, neutrality is desired; and for djing I presonally mix with the hi-hats/top end for accuracy, so dark sounding headphones wouldn't be ideal.

I'll stick with the HD600s for listening/prodution duties and M50s for djing/portable music (with a portable headphone amp).

Thu, 19 Jul 2012all I will say is, Sennhieser HD25's are the better than the TMA1's. The only difference is that the TMA1's look a bit better to some people. I personally prefer the raw industrial look of the HD25's, but thats just personal opinion I guess.

for studio headphones I would advise the Beyerdynamic DT770's, flat, clean and true, all that is ever needed for studio use.
