Thu, 27 Sep 2012Noel Gallagher may be a prize twerp at times, but taken in the proper context his remark is pretty self-deprecating. He's listening to some classic house, someone wonders why music like that isn't made any more and Gallagher responds that it's partly his fault.

Quite whether his flippancy encompasses an awareness of the torpidity of much of his musical output is another thing.

Personally, I blame the tabloid's early nineties fixations on the 'ecstasy epidemic' for effectively branding... More
