Wed, 31 Oct 2012i'm sure i wouldn't be singing a different tune. for example, the 'stream xyz's album' announcements on ra are completely uninteresting to me.

you're saying that we shouldn't criticize a decision of an influential music person because it's none of our business? i think music distribution models affect a lot of people.

it's interesting to follow, it's something i don't agree with... and i'm curious. it's really a strange decision to make. i think it's lazy and cheap in a sense. but i still... More

Wed, 31 Oct 2012please speak for everyone. he is in power to decide what he wants to do for himself with his productions. he isn't saying other artists should follow his lead. you are seriously reading too much into this and making generalizations. if this were a more-'RA' artist, i assume you and others commenting here would be singing a different tune. i don't listen to rusko or similar artists, but i also don't see how any of you come into this.

Tue, 30 Oct 2012i understand what you're saying. the net does exist, pirating exists; we probably wouldn't love electronic music so much if it weren't for the easy access afforded by them. but by legitimizing the free mp3/youtube rip culture, less people are going consider the alternative. collecting music will no longer be a beautiful and fulfilling pursuit in a crate. it'll be a forgotten artist discography .zip downloaded from a soundcloud account.

Tue, 30 Oct 2012I think in this brave new world not a bad idea. I dont mind paying vinyl but hate paying for mp3 s and only do it if I cant find a record. End of the day, the net exists- its very hard to police, change or be left behind.
