 | RA Review Rick Wilhite has been keeping an eye on Detroit's techno terrain for nigh on twenty years now, from behind the counter of the shop that has supplied a large portion of the city's DJs and producers. For that reason, it might not surprise you to learn that the compilation he's currently compiling has..

| #10 / Wed, 02 Jun 10 01:19 Had a brief chat with Rick last night at the DJ Harvey party in Detroit. Really, really nice guy. The artists featured on the later volumes of this series sound very promising! Can't wait for more.

| #11 / Wed, 02 Jun 10 02:01 the samples must be mixed, as the sample for ninja is not what I'd think of after hearing the second sample. that first track is redonkulous. it's funny how you can easily spot the verteran tracks, really looking forward to hearing more from the new guys though, all jokes aside.

| #14 / Wed, 02 Jun 10 21:35 Great to see this! All the tracks are f*... good. This classic detroit sound is so unique. My preference goes to A2 Marcellus Pittman - In Due Time with the classic soul puting some jazz dopes, a great redrum work and is so f* sweet track!! B Vincent Halliburton - Something I Feel grassroots the classic with deep chords and showing a perfect modern track at the same time. )

| #16 / Mon, 02 Aug 10 14:27 really strong release. don't get the point what the author criticizes glenn underground for. ok, the sample is outworn - no doubt, but the way he's playing the keys and arranging the whole piece is really nice.
