well the reason this mix sounds so good is precisely because it does not sound like what m-nus has been releasing and their DJs have been normally playing out. quality mix from magda. really enjoyed this.

From what I see here this one seems to be one of those "got-to-take-a-listen" podcasts Im off for some quality time then, I hope.

So yes this mix is pleasant, it just makes you suspect this could be something for her to secure a "cool image" among RA electronic kaisers...
It's the same with Marc Houle : he produces quite caricatural music for the masses (with a few good moments) and then personnally he only speaks about the most underground minimal synth/wave....somehow this is all marketing to me.

| #34 / Mon, 12 Jul 10 12:21 I interviewed Hawtin back in 98 in Newcastle - following a set he'd played at the legendary Riverside as part of Radio 1's Sound City. He's well into Miles Davis, Nitzer Ebb, Eno, DAF to name but a few.
His set was pretty varied - Mory Kante - Yeke Yeke (the original Afro Acid mix), and Nitzer Ebb - Join in the Chant.
I'm all for pushing new music - but when it's annodyne soulless minimal all night, you need to mix it up a bit

Honestly, I think it would have been so much more interesing if she actually would have picked her current favourite "minimal" tunes/tracks for the mix. It wouldn´t have been for everyone, and the tiresome "fuck minimal, soulless music, boring tracks etc etc etc.", would have gone on forever BUT she would have done, in my opinion, something unexpected for this context.
Long live minimal!

Aint nothing wrong with a mix full of old favourites. I reckon they make the best ones! Once on a while a mix with old favourites can be refreshing, but if such mixes appear too often, it isn´t that interesing anymore. But anyway, it´s probably just a matter of taste.
