| #0 / Wed, 10 Nov 04 20:56 Expect a roadblock when Nocturnal returns to the End this Saturday, as Danny Howells takes over the main room for a marathon 6 hour set.
While Danny may have slipped in DJ magazine's rankings (to only the 20th best DJ in the world?! – go figure) he's had an amazing year, not least with the success of his single 'From Dusk 'til Dawn', one of the tunes of the summer. Just to confirm his legendary status, Danny is now available as a 7" plastic doll! ( see forum banter here)
While Danny takes over The End, upstairs in AKA is Simon Marlin, the Nocturnal label head who's also had massive success with 'Lola's Theme'. As AKA regulars know, in Simon's hands you can expect a night of upbeat house and a great crowd. Simon is joined by guests the Inland Knights. But the star attraction is undoubtedly 6 hours of Mr Howells. This is one of only a few UK dates he's played this year, so book now or get in the queue early!
The 'As One' presents Nocturnal party is this Saturday, 13th November 2004 tickets are £15.

He has hands down got to be one of the best in the business. he isn't afriad to let his hair down whilst playing either which is great to see.

He would prob play a much fun'er style... the one issue i have with London clubs is that DJs seem to have to play really almost boring sets with new new music to try to keep on the ball - when the outcome doesn't provide much.

I thought danny was good but not great. He played some amazing tracks but just didnt seem to find a really good rhythm.
Went to Tyrant 7th b'day afterwards at about 5:30. Lee and craig were amazing and kind of made me think i should have gone there all night.

Yeah as chicko said, some great records, blended within an otherwise not amazing performance. Not to say it was bad at all, but for danny's high standards IMO i have seen him in better form.
Still had a good night with the usual suspects and i bet Darren is feeling a little sheepish around Danny this morning?

i poured out a few and gave out loads to all around.
the trouble started when i wasnt in the box.
