 | RA Review The presence of electronica behemoths Autechre and The Black Dog will, for many, be the main draw for Anodyne's Remix EP. Anodyne and Lackluster, however, have been around nearly as long, both having released music since the mid-'90s. Perhaps this EP will be a vehicle to elevate them, then, becaus..

| #3 / Wed, 15 Sep 10 11:54 Yes!! was a little shocked at first by the what seemed like a rather simplistic remix from Autechre but they really kept the spirit of the original and over time it has become quite infectious with the extra phat synths and the rearrangement they added.
The Black Dogs is is a slow burning techno epic, love the way they added further depth to the already lush pad sequences of the original, kind brings me back to Reload and Global Communication etc.. The Lackluster mix is certainly the most experimental but again has a beautiful sense of emotion.
Cant really comment on the digital only releases now can I ; )

| #10 / Sun, 15 May 11 04:28 This collection of remixes is pure bliss, the Black Dog starts off fairly standard but builds into a real epic, almost Vangelis influenced piece. Can't wait to drop that one in a set.
