sounds like someone is dropping deep-cover knowledge on the new fabric mix ;)

yeah it's just a great mix but i would say that.

obviously its a little different for Diggers, but I really think this style of music suits him as he has a great ability to make subtle sounds and minimal tracks stand out through great mixing and programming, and thats exactly what he has done with this mix.

Robbie, when you say "it's a little different for Diggers", exactly how different do you mean? :)

well it's different for him in a mix cd. i guess he would probably play these tracks in a live set so in that respect it's a good representation, but in terms of his mix cd's, this album is a little more on the house and techy side. You can tell just by looking at the artists on the cd.

Yeah really wanna get a hold to see what Diggers can do for Fabric. I've been listening to Weatherall's mix a bit of late... it's got some nice parts but lacks the overall pull to give it decent replay factor.

I saw josh wink and pete moss live 3 weeks ago (and I had a very pretty lady dancing with me, so that was helpful) and I can't wait to see what digweed does with their stuff. I guess I'm a lucky guy with moss and wink living in the same city with me.

I'm looking forward to this

I keep hearing the same about Weatherall's mix from a lot of people. Will have to eventually give it a listen.

Whilst copies have been around in the press for a few days, the actual official press release did not come until yesterday.

"I think long and hard about each gig, and I'm very professional. Attitude is very important to me, I want every aspect to be right. I've never understood those DJs that say they'll play their two hours and that's it. If the party's great, you've got the crowd in your hands, why wouldn’t you want to play more than two hours? Sometimes I have to be pulled off the decks, I just don't want to handover. The soundsystem at Fabric makes records come alive, and I can play tracks there that I just couldn't in any other club on the planet; they just wouldn't have the same effect. This CD is a five hour Fabric set, condensed into 74 minutes, and I hope it surprises a few people." - John Digweed

proper gentleman.

released Jan 17 and rubbing hands for Feb12

yeah, I have to say the tracklisting is very surprising. Not what I would have expected from Digweed but I'm not complaining. Me thinks this could be my favourite Fabric comp. :D

Yeah, I'm not fussed on some of their releases either. There are only two Fabric mixes I really like and that's Michael Mayer and Eddie Richards.

aaah to each their own. I'll also be quite interested to see what The Freestylers come up with. I think they're doing a FabricLive mix.
