Me and a friend are heading to the Cadenza party on NYE in Glasgow and want to fire down to this on NYD, trouble is there isn't any public transport.

Meeting friends down there and are able to make our own way back.

Hey, theres a bunch of us heading down for this from Glasgow on the train.

My mate booked the train tickets though so not sure of the details, but as far as I am aware there are trains (well I hope so anyway!...I did think it was a bit strange though that there was a train on new years day?!).

I didn't even bother checking national trains as Scottish trains weren't on the go NYD. To my surprise there's trains galore from central on NYD so I'm now a very happy man.

Ive got the train from Glasgow the last 2 years on NYD & will be gettin it this NYD. You'll be fine getting down, theres loads of trains leaving from Glasgow Central.

Can't wait for this again this year

Set times and in general what time is best to head in?

Head there for about 10pm ish, I'd say. Doors close at 23:30, so obviously don't miss that.

Mind you they haven't posted the opening and closing times anywhere.

Wank idea not to post set times prior too the event actually happening! Because of this and our own guess work ended up only catching the last 20 minutes of Jamie jones' set and completely missing soul claps set, two of the acts we most wanted to catch. Organisers should take this idea on board I reckon, standard idea across all good club nights!

Set of the night goes to dc, killed it with straight house vibes. Heidi played a very sweet set aswell! Think Jesse's set should have been alot earlier on the bill tho, was a complete contrast to lazarus' sorta style and flavour. Wasn't really the time or place to drop welcome to jamrock Damian Marley either, nevermind a drum and bass remix!

Dubfire stuck out like a sore thumb at the end of what had been such quality house music. Total atmosphere killer for me. Then I went in room 2 to find Damian Lazarus playing weird shit as well, ended up sat in the chill-out area waiting for our minibus to arrive.

Jamie Jones, Cassy and Derrick Carter were outstanding though!

@elrusto - totally agree with you Re: the Dubfire thing. Did you manage to catch any of Heidi and Jesse Rose? Immense.

Think I must have heard literally the last couple of bars they played! There was a queue to get into the 2nd room... by the time I'd been for a quick piss, Lazarus was on. Pretty gutted as I wanted to catch them

@el rusto feel what you're saying completely but don't know what you expected from Dubfire really. He's all about the big room, live, electronic, visual techno sound so suited to the main room, and he closed whp NYD 2 years ago. Whole night was case of wrong room for the wrong act. Main room shoulda been straight techno (cassy, Lazarus, dubfire and jesse cos of his popularity), and room 2 shoulda been strict jackin house with soul clap, jj, Heidi and dc! Like I made a point of saying, posting the set times woulda given people a better idea of what to expect and WHEN to expect it! Basic errors by the promoters, something you wouldn't expect from an event on that sorta scale!

I'd heard good things about a couple of his sets in Ibiza last summer, so I was willing to give him a try. Still had a great night though!

To be fair if you just ring them up a few hours before then they will tell you straight away. But yeah, pretty slack. They seemed to announce some but not others all season!

Not sure i'll be back rushing back to WHP next year, prefer smaller venues really. Although I say that every year
