a wild guess of their secret identities would be Thomas Barfod from 'Who Made Who' and two danish youngsters from 'Electro Juice' ?

Looking forward for this one :)

I hope the sound is more interesting than the pretentiously quirky press release makes it seem.

they have the Icelandic thing happening big time. some even and odd discourses. if your wine is turpentine, then light a match and blow hard. it'll sizzle the hairs right off your razed shackles. like throwing mixed animal bones and seeing a bright future in their lay. fresh and unusual. most interesting and more.

Jatoma - Jatoma cover
RA Review
If ambient music is, as Brian Eno put it, "able to accomodate many levels of listening attention without enforcing one in particular; it must be as ignorable as it is interesting," Jatoma fit the bill. I'll say this for the mysterious trio's self-titled debut, though: Almost every time I've had it o..

(full disclosure a la Mr Brophy's comments elsewhere - i'm slightly biased in that I also record as one half of walls for kompakt) I think this is a great record - really personal, fresh and wonderful.. Yes, there's no out and out 'bangers' on there, and no they haven't had any releases previously to this one to start building the hype, but I defy anyone who loves the work of Four Tet, Caribou, Nathan Fake etc. to not fall for this record!

I'm loooooving this album... its quirky and very interesting. Quite beautiful as well.

It's a new day... It's a new day... My bass vibrates with anticipation!
Yeah I have to say I strongly disagree with the 3/5. Think it's one of the best recent releases by far.

very heady, obscure stuff has strong engine for where they want to go. the places you arrive are refreshing and fun. noddy with purpose. great, quirky iconic art.

Am I the only one thinking this is similar to The Field?

It sounds interesting, has it's moments, but as an album it lacks something to get 4/5 from me, so 3,5/5.

Hope their sound evolves and we'll enjoy their second effort even more :)
