 | RA Review on White label Although it's been out of print for some time, "Street Knowledge," originally released on the Parisian label Logistic in 2006, hasn't exactly languished in obscurity. The lead track on Tobias Freund's debut EP under his Tobias. alias, it still gets played out. In fact, its crisp, analog house groove..

it is a legitimate release. i'm pretty sure the gentlemen F. and V. decided to just shoot it straight onto the market, since a "proper" label release might have brought up some hassle with logistic. killer record - a timeless tune, gilded by an extremely powerful remix.

| #7 / Thu, 14 Oct 10 17:34 Great to finally have this on record. It just works, fantastic track and the ricardo remix is lovely too, although it doesn't surpass the original

| #12 / Thu, 14 Oct 10 20:19 (Edited: 15 Oct 10 09:22) i really love the original. techno as it was- BUT, i do think its totally hilarious that 2 german dudes in their 40s use the sample 'street knowlege' over and over again. it always makes my smile- to be clear the sample is from MC REN from the band N.W.A from the album 'str8 outta compton' (credit to dude on the board) but neither Tobi or Ricardo knows that- it came on a sample cd "x-static goldmine" with no credit. lovely music industry @seansean- i agree that this dude is a great writer we should see more of here. maybe teach a few of the writers a thing or two

...that made me imagine for a minute. I pictured Goldilocks. Nice release, good work on the review. At principle, we all read reviews because its interesting to hear others views on the same topic we are interested in...in the same field we spend our time in. I also see reviews as an art form of sorts, something that reviewers might want to hold sacred when they are on a platform to share their views about a piece of music or art. A great responsiblity on the part of the reviewer to give the reader something honest and mind moving. And this is why I guess readers get riled up when they see a poor review, and genuinely appreciate when they read a well written and thought out review.
