| #52 / Fri, 26 Aug 11 14:54 I've had both pioneer and the Sennheiser and i prefered the Pioneers out of the two but i then bought a pair of Ultrasone DJ1 PRO and i have never heard anything so good the sound is amazing. I would recommend them to anyone, the price however is high but you pay for what you get with these and that quality

| #53 / Fri, 26 Aug 11 17:01 Posted by alexwhite the sennheiser hd-25 II have been the best headphones although i have some problems with the factory cable (the plug to the mixer) because sometimes it stops hearing from one side and you just have to plug it or move it but you can always fix that problem buying a new cable which is great because it's 3 times longer and far more quality and durable… once these wore out i'll try the hdj-2000 to see how they work out allthough i think its overpriced for dj headphones which you use every 2 years…
HD-25 II FOREVER!

| #54 / Tue, 30 Aug 11 21:59 I've mainly used sehnheiser HD25's over the years Ive been DJ'ng great headphones been through about 4 or 5 pairs and used Pioneers a few times but they are rubbish, recently discovered a new pair of Headphone's from a brand I have never heard of and they have blown me away, by far the best sound quality I have heard out of some headphones, and the quality is there too with memory foam and memory metal design, I highly recommend these V-MODA Crossfade, i got gun metal as don't like gimmicky headphones, £229 usually but I picked mine up for the £100 mark from amazon.
Seriously i don't usually bother posting but these are well worth a mention!

| #56 / Tue, 03 Jan 12 07:41 Audio Technica ATH-Pro700 for closed back design. Audio Technica ATHM50 Grado SR-60i (a cheap set of cans that are a great way to try out open designs) Akg 701 or 702 (expensive but worth it) Senheiser HD 580 or 600 (another great open design that is higher impedance than usual)

| #58 / Fri, 13 Jan 12 21:56 I would suggest the Sony MDR-V700DJ - I've been using them for many years and can hardly imagine anything significantly better The only thing minus is that the leather on the headphones gets dry with time, so you should expect to change the leather covers every 3-4 years if you look after them with care

| #59 / Fri, 20 Jan 12 02:44 I have the Sony dh1200, and the bass is a little over bearing. Kind of drowns out the other frequencies. Thinking of going back to the dj1200's which I had for over 9 years!

| #61 / Tue, 24 Jan 12 05:10 In response to the OP... I've had the HDJ-1000 for some, they're pretty good. I do love the sound, the bass is strong and you really feel the music. They have broken twice in the same spot where I've super glued them. For my next pair, I think the Best DJ Headphones are the Allen & Heath XD53's, the Pioneer 2000's, the TMA-1's and the Sennheiser HD25's. Just really depends what you're looking for.

| #64 / Sat, 03 Mar 12 16:29 If you don't mind spending a little bit more, go for HDJ 2000 Worth every penny and I would really recommend them any time! I have upgraded from HDJ 1000 which are a bit... stiff to be honest. As an alternative you can try Sennheiser HD-25

| #65 / Tue, 27 Mar 12 03:10 The Pioneers are pretty decent if you've got the cash to spend, and i've heard that you need them on a lower volume than most 'mid price range' headphones as they emphasise the bass kick a lot harder therefore you don't have to kill your ears. That said, I mixed with Sennheiser HP25s for 2 years and they're great. http://www.themusiciansguide.co.uk/blog/27/what-are-the-best-dj-headphones/
