Kode9 & The Spaceape - Black Sun cover
RA Review
In a certain respect, Kode9's 2009 single, Black Sun , marked a shift for his Hyperdub label, where the dungeon-crawling low frequency paranoia suddenly mobilized into nervy percussive splatter. It was funky-friendly, aligning with the turning tide of his DJ sets, but still pockmarked with that bla..

This is more than an "Unbalance" followup than 2562's Fever album... Very nice. Love the rhythm construction and the melodic beautiful cacophony that sometimes reminds me of old Dan Curtin songs.

Dear reviewer:

By using the hyphenated term 'blink-and-you'll-miss-it-fast' do you mean to use a term like ephemeral, evanescent, or maybe fugacious?

I hate to be 'that guy' but English is a pretty dynamic language. Please use a thesaurus more often.

Otherwise, this is a great review. It really got me excited to explore this album when it's released.

Haha. 'Andrew Ryce In Limited Vocabulary Shocker'. Er, Bareklik, don't be a poo. You obviously haven't read many - if any - of his reviews (this one included) if you're suggesting he consult a thesaurus more often.

For the record, bareklik, none of those terms emphasize the sheer *speed* of the album enough to satisfy what I was going for. Sometimes hyphenated idiomatic phrases are your best friend.

Don't be a pompous, arrogant, flowery, walrus faced cram runner. Only people that are egotistic and full of themselves enjoy overly verbose language.
