Wondered when this would get announced, have heard this was in the pipeline for a little while.
Really hoping it's like some of the classic Carter mixes we've had before

can I please make a public appeal for music journos/PR to stop telling us every single DJ 'got their first decks at the age of nine/starting listening to their dad's record collection while they were still at primary school/bought their first drum machine when they were still in nappies.'

It's literally in every bio/press release. We get it. yawn.

p.s. looking forward to this though!

I legitimately broke a belt-drive turntable at age 4 because I kept scratching it. Can I have my FACT mix now?

That is a great mix. 100% original tunes and clips.

The best part about some of these great mixes is they are all amazing in their own way. I am not a huge Derrick Carter fan, but he is a great dj with a lot of nostalgic value. I will certainly listen to this one.

C'mon, admit you're only jealous because you use a Kontrol S4 and reading this stuff just makes you feel inadequate.

LOL

QUOTE: Is it possible to do a better one than Shackleton's?

ANSWER: That should be easy, as Shackleton's was one of the WORST in the series...since the series began in 1999.

No flow, no rhythym...just bass....some drums...and occasionally a discordant vocal. How is something like that even worth listening to?

Dubstep is murdering decent, quality house and techno music. It's just Detroit and Chicago anymore for me as Europe and England have pretty much completely dropped the ball.

how can one genre murder another one? i am sure that house and techno will get on just fine now that dubstep is here to stay...
