given that he mixed his latest bedrock cd with 5 channels and live keyboard, the man must have some sorta talent!

brownalley, are you able to tell us exactly what gear he'll be using on the night?

really looking forward to seeing Lisle as well as checking out this sound system that everyone raves about at BA.

Good night overall, just enough ppl. neither too packed or too empty.

Didnt get into Lisle's first 1+ hr, till later in his set where there was some great tracks.

Matthew Dekay - "Bad" Slayer

I loved the first hour when the sound was quite "chunky" and then loved it when he dipped into a spell of breaks. He had me engaged for almost all the set and I think the finish with the drum'n'bass version of Papua New Guinea was fantastic!! I've never seen a proggy DJ finish with a d'n'b track and i went off for that tune! Haha!!

9/10 for me for the night! Loved how it wasn't packed and had a great time catching up with everyone and having a dance Badger

I'm putting Lisle up there next to Porter in status. Slayer

Next @ Heatsick
i'm with pc...haven't danced that hard since porter (and howells too)
seriously awesome all the sampling and layers and stuff.

was good to see he could keep upp the energy over 3 hours when all the mixes i've heard are a bit slower and maybe not so dance floor friendly (cept his last kiss mix)

one helluva night

agreed!!!!!! :D

Phil K was in fine form too. All smiley and relaxed and pumping out the good tunes for more dancing!

Wow, what a show that was... i was excited before the event and i'm still excited talking about it. By far the best full 3 hr set i've seen (helped by the awesome venue and up for it crowd).

The first hour was great when he played those seriously dirty basslines, but i have to agree that Matthew Dekay's 'Bad' was the hightlight of the night. 10/10 for me.

10/10. So happy to see a big name come out and deliver like that. Best DJ out there!

I'm in danger of coming out of semi-retirement after that show.

It was a reasonable night. (no sojourn to the country this easter)
It does however reinforce my personal opinion that breaks aren't for me as far as the dancefloor goes..maybe somewhere in a set i would love a nice big, dirty, wholesome electro sound/break to keep things sensible, but not all night. Having said that, i could sense the quality of the djing and of the tracks themselves.

it makes u think Storm Trooper

Sorry for the delay.

I don't know if I would let this gig put me off breaks.

i'd have thought this gig would've got you into breaks more than anything

mangan played smooth the built it up...lisle played rocking...and phil played twisted

don't know if any of the bases were missed Head Scratch

Mangan's set was one of the best I've EVER heard him play. There are lots of different kinds of breaks out there. Maybe you need to check out some of the other crews rather than the prog breaks djs Edwardo?

I could have handled more breaks from Lisle, but he did keep me there for the other stuff! :)
