| #1 / Thu, 03 Mar 11 15:47 a blend of "John Carpenter, Boards of Canada, early '90s computer games and Prince with the sound system dynamics of cutting edge UK bass music."
Now that sounds tasty Phoenix sends shivers down my spine so if that's anything to go by then i'll be picking this LP up

 | RA Review There's a snowballing trend for retro sounds and styles, but it's getting to the point that the imitations are so spot-on it's almost unnerving. Bristol producer Hyetal's debut album is a laboured '80s synth reproduction on some nearly unbelievable next level of accuracy and facsimile: think M83's..

| #8 / Thu, 05 May 11 19:46 pshh it's a 4 1/2 for me
the only thing I read in here that caused the low rating was the retro-y sound? eh. I guess it's a thing of taste

| #16 / Tue, 10 May 11 17:33 This is certainly not dubstep. Not like I should even start to try to pseudo-analyze this album. But the fact is there is some new stuff brewing in the minds of the stand out creative, and it's love music, not hate music.
Thats the difference between dubstep and this fresh post-dubstep wave...
In short. 5/5. Please show me why it isn't.

| #18 / Fri, 20 May 11 16:46 Superb album - it's been played so many times since I picked this up. Quality from beginning to end, and what an end too - "Black Black Black" is just fantastic.
