Heavy soul music
my first time to this festival, looking forward to it.

Hope it also caters for house aside from the harder techno

Hawtin has just said this on his facebook:

'A wonderful morning and afternoon at ROW! Cool crowd... reminding us all of the early days of DC10! That's the end of the Spain Easter tour for another year! See everyone later this year, at Monegros, on Ibiza and beyond!!!!'

If you want a good festival in spain, with beach, sun & party, ELECTROBEACH FESTIVAL IS WHAT YOU NEED. From the 24th to the 27th of august. You can find ticket+accommodation in the official camping (last year the party was there) for just 80€ and you can fly to Alicante from nearly all the main cities with Ryanair. Check the line up IT'S MASSIVE and they just revealed the first few names. I'm repeating for sure!

Technasia is the winning ace this year @ Monegros

The Feed
Following the announcement that David Guetta will headline Monegros in Spain this year, attendees and fans of the festival have taken to Facebook (over 7000 of them so far) to highlight their distaste at the decision and demand his removal from the bill.

its a no brainer really, booking the most commercial dj on the planet for an underground festival will have very obvious repercussions, the joke is not on guetta but on the organisers, end of.

it might be that he is a nice bloke, who cares. the majority of us will never meet him and is annoyed by his crap, he has nothing to do with music. and there are thousands of other nice blokes to be friendly with.

the "guetta effect". same thing happened to my little home country's used-to-be-underground-festival last year. as soon as they added guetta to the bill people (me included) started whining on facebook, announcing flashmob-style party crashing... my advice: don't get too agitated. he will play, he will draw a huge crowd, he will make the organizers a lot of money. there's nothing you can do about it but head off to another stage and hopefully hear quality music while the masses dance to the sound of money.

tonidelgado, thanks for the tip. Would you suggest a long sleeved top round the waste during the day then?

I wish they had some sort of lockers!

@ Ferdiboy

I went 9 years ago and got caught in a night storm that are quite common in that part of the country. I suggest a Poncho.

Are you heading down by car (which you can regularly return to through out the festival)? If not I would suggest a light weight bag for your stuff which should include a hat you can keep wetting on the Sunday morning as it gets very hot very fast and sunblock.

Four of us are heading down from Manchester and we've all paid the extra 50euro for VIP passes to be able to get away from the mayhem and chill out on occasion.

Other then that make sure to keep drinking fluids regularly and enjoy yourself.

my first time going to this event too..im a bit concerned about the heavy techno side of things..do you know if there will be a tent dedicated to House music?
cheers

mulla this has all the dj time table info:
www.monegrosfestival.com/webapp/timetable
Pabloz, we're doing the same thing with the VIP, seems like a great idea.
Thanks for the advice, hat and suncream looks like a must.

We are sleeping in Lleida for the weekend so getting the bus over from there
