Ready for the 1/5 review on here....

Nobody really likes Ed Banger on this site, which I find a little sad as I believe that the label actually works as an introduction to EDM for a lot of young music listeners. Not many people find Cocoon or Ostgut Ton very appealing at first as, I think in many's cases, those are labels that you have to grow into through a lighter branch of the music category.

It's a total lack of understanding for the style, slight ignorance and even snobbery I find. Today I am far more involved with labels like Cocoon, Perlon etc., but I have so much to thank Ed Banger for when I was first interested in EDM. They don't pretend to be part of more minimal side of electronic music, but they have done a fantastic job creating their own brand of maximal electro. Long live Ed Banger

not many record labels can throw a party like ed banger. have had one of my best party experiences at an ed banger event!

agree with all the posts above. i started listening to EDM in my teens through justice and sebastian who are pretty much exiled from RA now...

when reading older reviews, some of those electro records were given 3.5s or even 4s. they'll be lucky to get a 3 now.

Yep, me too! They may bit a bit flashy and a bit noisy, but the Ed Banger crew, especially Oizo, Busy P, Justice and Seb are very important figures in electronic music. At EXIT festival last year, SebastiAn's set was extended an extra hour because he was so amazing!!!
