Looks mint, just hope that the Techno tracks have a little room to breathe.

this is class, only thing that let is down is the inclusion of the Larry Heard track - just didnt need to be on there.

Other than that its awesome, some outstanding mixing and layering

this mix is basically loads of synths, banging house beats with really offensive lyrics about ass, pussy and tits layered over the top

awesome

@Cyrus88 I agree looks way more like a Fabric mix going by the tracklisting. Quite excited actually.

We've got the promo copy and would like to say that this mix is splendid! We like it very much. One of the best Fabric CDs for sure.

I normally hate dubstep, but this actually looks promising. I might dig this.

Splendid

The Feed
The Numbers co-founder talks at length with FACT's Tom Lea about the intense process behind licensing music for the mix, getting sacked from Glasgow's Rubadub record store and his ongoing penchant for classics.

Jackmaster - FabricLive.57 cover
RA Review
"We don't really need a crowd to have a party. Just a funky beat and you to get it started…" "Big Fun," Inner City's techno ode to the power of dance, could be a raison d'etre for Glaswegian DJ Jackmaster. Alongside digital upstarts Hudson Mohawke and Rustie, he's at the forefront of a fresh strain..

'he's at the forefront of a fresh strain of Scottish mixers, producers and hell raisers.'

I'm going to chalk this phrase up to unconscious associations with the Pinhead-esque cover art.

This was a really good FabricLive volume and I quite enjoyed it.

Was really nice to hear some old favorites that I remember from when they first came around (Outlander, CLS, Davina). Yeah - I'm old! :(

the Live series has been on a tear recently with the last four volumes (Rodigan, Marky, Ramadaman and Jackmaster). Let's hope it continues. Next two volumes are Goldie and Four Tet.

I'm worried about the Goldie volume, which I don't expect to pass muster.

Great mixing on a technical level (except for the awkward transition from Sia to CLS), but really spotty selection overall in my opinion.

Loved pretty much everything about the first third, but it totally lost me after the Larry Heard track, epitomized by the terrible Sbtrkt tune with the cringeworthy electro-house synths (and I usually really like his music).

A few nice tracks towards the end [UR, Hudmo, Machinedrum], but it's just a little too all over the place for me. 3/5.

This looks like a mix I still want to hear after seeing the tracklist, which does not occur as much as it should!!

Anyone who isn't confused doesn't really understand this situation.
