I saw the Stereo MCs last year by accident before DJ Yoda came on, they were fricking awful...

Aside from that I agree with the first paragraph, loss of the 12" = loss of artwork which is a shame... maybe we can all stare at windows media player visuals

As a child, my father thought I should grow up to become an artist doing album covers, as he did not agree with me painting on walls. Glad I didn't as it seems to have become somewhat of a lost art - no pun intended - but glad to still see it every now and then. Two very fine examples of modern album art HERE.

Killer MP3 collection dude.

Top article on a top designer/ dj can we have Matt Edwards up next, being a designer first then dj/producer?

Great article. I bought the 'Any Minute Now' single without hearing it but purely for the artwork (although I loved Soulwax first album so I knew it wouldn't disappoint). I saw it across a crowded HMV and knew it would be iconic.

@chriswood500

What exactly is the "loss of the 12inch"? While numbers of average pressings may have gone down, haven't vinyl sales gone up (in general), and isn't the 12" still the most popular vinyl format in dance circles?

Sure, there are more digital releases than there were 10 years ago, because there's more of everything.

Love the new feature. Of course, I'm a designer and a producer, so I guess I would :-P
