i kno what you mean, i completely agree with everything he says in that video, yet he still seems like a bit of a dick. i guess it takes the experience to appreciate. either way, love his music, an interesting conversation no doubt.

| #8 / Thu, 09 Jun 11 23:57 totally disagree, what a gas bastard!
he comes across like a totally normal dude, down to earth, one of the lads, sense of humour, not taking himself too seriously.

| #9 / Fri, 10 Jun 11 01:16 Good interview. I thought the thing he said about Ron Hardy (and how your brain fills in the gaps, when things are distorted) was perfect. I can relate to it, but was never really able to put it like that. Or something.
Been listening to his older stuff a lot recently, the Sonic Disco CDs and particularly the Sarcastic Disco mix CD.

alot of the time too many people take this business too seriously and read into shit when its not needed. harvey is one of the people keeping shit fun

| #33 / Fri, 24 Jun 11 11:14 How is what he said making fun of Japanese people? He was making fun of one particular moron who was/is Japanese. That would be nationalistic, not necessarily racist, ps.

| #35 / Fri, 24 Jun 11 11:42 Actually, he says "I know you're Japanese..." not "a Japanese." Either way, I'm not sure that qualifies as being racist. Is it racist to assume that everyone in Japan does not speak fluent English?

| #36 / Sat, 25 Jun 11 12:38 I think he was merely making reference to the fact he wasn't fluent in english but at could least understand something.

| #41 / Sun, 26 Jun 11 09:30 Calling someone a racist without any real evidence or argument is as problematic as being racist itself. You are blindly judging someone you don't know at all because he said the word "Japanese," which is a neutral term. Ignorance is contagious, my friend.
