| #3 / Tue, 24 May 05 06:27 Judging by that line up, you won't need mushies!!!
Get them in Camden if you know they're good. You might be disappointed when you get to Homelands...

| #7 / Wed, 25 May 05 07:53 grazing on mushies at festivals is rather strong work, do you struggle with that fine line between hilarious and hectic at all? All the best with it, and my vote is for stocking up at the long haired dude's stall in Camden.
Bring on Homelands! No rain forecast til Sunday *fingers crossed*

| #23 / Tue, 31 May 05 05:00 wasnt all that impressed TBH. Diggers stole the show but was on at 8pm his mix of Chab was immense as predicted ! more fabric like set, techy and building all the way thru. Hawtin followed him - i ran DUcked into see Streets playing "Blinded by the Lights" sounded rather strange from so far away and was well packed so sat down and watched terry dance on the tables for while, till he back flipped doing a hand stand and winded himself for 5 mins or so then wandered off to Giles Smith (he's wikid btw ) then Fanciulli who took a while but eventually was tearing it up on the angled dance floor that was Arena 2. James followed up at 3am and played probably the best i'd heard him in a while. Blue Monday, PNG, Robophobia were some crowd fave's. By the time Howells came on i was about ot die of exhaustion. and sat for longer periods. Nice day, strange layout, even stranger set times and a slighty odd crowd made for a 7/10 for me BJ

| #24 / Tue, 31 May 05 07:02 I thought homelands was good but was starting to feel a bit tired and cold towards the end.
Bus ride there was a nightmare - very hot and seemed to take forever.
Sniffer dogs were scary at the gate and was nice to get in and chill out for a while on the grass.
Digweed - Thought he was good but didn't really blow me away - the second hour was far better and the soundsystem in that arena was very loud.
Blackstrobe - was good but was ruined by the sound being so low. Even smackhead was getting pissed off. Funny moment when the visuals behind him were displaying 'OBEY' and he just stuck both middle fingers at it!
Tiefschwarz - First time I had seen them and they were better than expected. Had heard bad reports from so many people and although their mixing wasn't great it was good music.
JZ - Good when he played techy but not a great fan when he starts going off on a breaks tip - decided then to take a break and camp with the refugees in the 'warm room'.
Giles Smith - ok but the sound was so fucked up. there was a delay between the monitors and the rest of the speakers so the set sounded like one long trainwreck.
VIP - 80's cheese music was fun, and later on someone was playing some cool tech-house.
Best moment of the night however was the Human League. Just wandering into the arena when 'Electric dreams' was playing was the highlight of the weekend!
Also so bits of Fanciulli, Lazarus and Howells but not enough to really comment.
Was funny to see all the refugees passed out all over the place.

| #25 / Tue, 31 May 05 07:52 arrived, got sniffed. those dogs cant find shit. had me scared though. outdoor stage. total wank. terrible djs, i heard some awful trainwrecks, bad mixing, poor track selection, etc. did philosopher stone mushies and was incapacitated for a few hours. 17.30 scratch perverts. sucked. worst set of the night apart from the outdoor stage. 18:00 mylo. blah. did nitrous oxide. some lads in the dnb tent 18:30 krust. blah. smoked weed. hype 19:00 hype and mc fats. hype, awesome. fats, absolute shit. took pills. 20:00 john digweed. awesome, bit early though. it was still light out. chav @ diggers 22:00 richie hawtin. set of the night!!! really accessible techno. more pills. 00:00 miss kittin. very good. she carried on after richies set well. shoulda swapped settimes with diggers though. notice the guy on the left 01:30 plump djs. meh. wasn't really in the mood, and time conflicted with andy c. 02:00 andy c and mc ic3. very good. was tired and just chilled out with the chavs. more pills. 03:00 james zabiela. awesome. seemed like a proggy set to me, with the focus on track selection and programming. didnt notice much effects mashups or scratching, but i wasn't really in a fit state. 04:30 danny howells. awesome. perfect set to end the night while smoking weed. funnest part. raving it up in the dnb tent with loads of chavs! chavs > you. chick report. there were some fit ones. in summary, best day/night out in 2005 so far.

| #26 / Tue, 31 May 05 07:59 you are kidding aren't you rene? Human league sucked massively. as did the streets.
Lawlers set ROCKED it, as did Hawtin's (whose little green techno babies I'll happily have now). I liked part's of Fancullis, caught a bit of diggers, some of tiefschwarz, a bit of lazarus, and some others.
Didn't hit the guests tent at all except for the toilets (my saviour!), albeit a long walk from one side of the festival to the other.
My most mingin' moment was finding someone's undies in the portaloo beside me. That is just not cool...

| #27 / Tue, 31 May 05 08:06 Being totally serious about Human League. Only caught 'elecric dreams' just before Blackstrobe came on and for me it was the moment of Homelands - just cos it was such a laugh. Don't know what the rest of their set was like though.

| #29 / Tue, 31 May 05 09:07 I disagree slightly...
His set was perfect for late night, sun going down, ambience. It was tribal, it was funky, it was full of unexpected tunes, and it was on point.
It was never going to be like his Harlem Nights set - purely because it was outdoors & in the middle of a field, instead of a dark, small, cramped, hot, gurning room in the middle of The End.

Friend of mine was fully searched, cautioned, had his ticket removed from his person and then told to keep quiet in the "convict tent" He was then taken back to Winchester and told "don't even think about trying to get back in - I'll remember you"

She was a bit tormented afterwards to say the least.
Good thing her best mate had all the drugs up her snatch then eh?!
I reckon those dogs mustn't know what's what by the end of that day. Their noses must be all over the place.

lalwer sucked big time i thought.
ok didnt suck but was one of the most well known sets of music i have heard in a while
wastelands was well poor compared to previous years, maybe this was due to fact that uk has so many festivals happening week in week out this summer.
