| #2 / Tue, 12 Jul 11 22:05 'Logical consolidation' update. By integrating all of Record back into Reason instead of the other way around, you don't have to feel like you did when you paid just to have full screen and SSL console emulation as a dongle based upgrade. The 64bit is really great if you also use Live 64bit and have the Ram allotment to do some full-on production work with this new version of the program as a rewire or by itself. Just think of the NNXT-1 and Kong with some gigs of high quality multi-samples at your finger tips.
Also, if you used Record only sometimes because you had better DAWs like ProTools for mixing/mastering, Logic for composing/running lots of plug-ins or Abelton for sequencing/ experimenting/creating deadly weapons and still used basically Reason mostly as a rewire or by itself when you didn't want to be dongled up and distracted by the unused features of Record ...then you'll have no choice but to find a better way to use it all now, with the best of both programs - focused into one.

| #9 / Thu, 14 Jul 11 14:31 Doesn't seem that long since I last updated. Argh!! Signed up to do beta test, which I did for Record 1 as well. Looking forward to 64bit rewire, finally.

| #10 / Fri, 15 Jul 11 14:29 Yeah i'm with Mr Von Stroke, recycle is a powerful tool that should be incorporated into the package. Can't wait to check 6 out...

| #11 / Mon, 18 Jul 11 01:55 Agree that something needs to be done with Recycle - at least making it a whole lot cheaper or offering something in the way of special crossgrade pricing for Reason users if Props insist on keeping it a separate purchase.
Otherwise, 6 is looking kick arse and the new Audio interface is pretty cool too.

| #13 / Thu, 04 Aug 11 10:09 I hope they've made the timeline/sequence zoomable by pulling down, like ableton and other programs... the Reason way of zooming in is just so klunky, its a deal breaker for me..

| #14 / Tue, 09 Aug 11 04:52 I'm still on v3, lol, so i think I'm ready for an upgrade. I like reason for scratch pad, the sound engine never did it for me. Hope it's been improved.

Too much of a cash cow for Propellerheads according to FutureMusic's Reason 5 review...

| #16 / Tue, 09 Aug 11 18:38 Record never should have been a standalone product from the start and should have been integrated into Reason from the get-go. I think what you're seeing here is "Hey we fucked up, now let's get it right with this release" - which is why versions 5 and 6 came out back to back.

 | RA Review Up until July of this year, the Reason manifesto was well known and accepted—a closed software environment for creating "in the box" music with a fixed set of virtual devices, stressing consistency and stability with infrequent updates and a lack of support for realtime audio recording or plugins...

| #18 / Wed, 16 Nov 11 21:16 I gave the demo a shot and really enjoyed the workflow as it felt as natural as a hardware setup but I'm not too big on the software synth sounds. Maybe I will use it for recording some external gear like a multi-track recorder and like it more then.
We'll see. For now Numerology and Logic give me a bit more.
Wish I could get along with ableton.

| #20 / Tue, 22 Nov 11 13:39 Pulveriser is wicked on bass patches, can use it to thicken things up a bit or add real filth if you want. Totally easy to use too.
I can see Alligator becoming quite useful also but will take a bit more creative thinking to use it atypically.
I'm still just starting out with the program but love it already!

| #24 / Thu, 22 Mar 12 21:51 I have REASON 6 and for some reason when I press F5 I only get a portion of the SSL MIXER show up on the right side of my screen and this is very annoying because when I first got it, I accidentally pressed something and the whole mixer appeared on my screen in all its heavenly glory! But now I have no idea how to expand it so I can see it.....across my entire screen like I did the first time. F5 only makes it appear to the right side of my screen and I've tried click dragging as well and that doesn't work either HELP!!!!! CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN HOW TO DO THIS?????? ANYONE SMART ENOUGH???

| #25 / Sun, 22 Jul 12 20:40 Why did Reason go against there main premise i.e. a rack? The mixer is now outside of the rack and i get motion sickness going back and forth between the three windows. I'll be using the usability of the old mixer over the fancy smanchy one that looks like a toy (color scheme is nasty).
