We regret to announce that, due to an illness, Mike Dehnert was unable to make his flight and will not be appearing at The Bunker on Friday. We worked over a year on that booking, and are just as disappointed as the rest of you. We will be rescheduling him for an upcoming date at The Bunker. On the bright side, we are thrilled to announce that Brendon Moeller, aka Echologist, will be filling in for him. We've been meaning to bring Brendon on board for a while now, and he has close ties to Delsin (he released a 12" on Delsin sub-label Ann Aimee, and just played at the Delsin showcase at Fabric last weekend).

New York based South African, Brendon Moeller has been producing music since 1994. His compositions have been released on Francois K's Deep Space Media; Third ear Records, Echocord, Mule Musiq, Leena Music, Eskimo recordings and then some. He records as Brendon Moeller, Beat Pharmacy and Echologist. Dub, techno, jazz, afrobeat and psychedelics are inspirations that appear in most of his music. Whether it be serious dancefloor bizniz, or dubbed out bass-scapes, his music always possesses a quality and signature that make him the force he is today. He has collaborated with some of the great dub vocalists of our time, including Mutabaruka, Spaceape, Mikey Dread and Paul St. Hilaire and fomented relationships with scene institutions like Fabric, Berghain and Francois K.

completely bummed...but Brendon is pretty special in his own right.

bummed about dehnert? sure - most people are.

but echologist? his productions are ridiculous, and he plays some disgustingly good dub techno. don't think he'll dance around this one - he's going to bring the pain.

not to mention his production value is insanely good (thus the delsin connection), so he should make eardrums happy performing on that back room soundsystem.

it's worth mentioning that Morphosis is playing live and laptopless tonight. gear list: 808, 303 clone, Juno 60, a mixing desk and some pedals. man vs machines.

The Bunker. We don't fuck around.

Yesterday we got news that Mike Dehnert was very ill and would not be able to make his flight New York. We found the perfect replacement, Brendon Moeller. We just got word that Brendon had to have an emergency dental surgery, and thus will not be able to join us either. We did some scrambling for another replacement, but it was simply too late to find someone, and we were worried about cursing them anyways. Morphosis and Delta Funktionen will both be playing a little bit longer in the back room. We are in good hands. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for understanding.

I wish I double-checked that Mike Dehnert wasn't spinning. That was the reason I went, ultimately. The front room's music was good. It was better than the back room, where the music was not for me. Kind of disappointed with this party.
