I downloaded House of Balloons but I just don't get it. Every song seems to be about cheating on his girlfriend. What a tool. Here "He's more and more misogynistic, more violent and more pathetic". Why would I want to listen to that? That's a genuine question btw.

Because art with unlikeable protagonists can be fascinating? You realize that what he's singing about doesn't actually have to be true right? I mean I get it if you think the subject matter is boring or whatever, but you almost sound personally offended by his infidelity.

I haven't heard this yet, but I thought House Of Balloons was dull except for the excellent "What You Need".

Both releases are just too long for me to listen all the way through without getting annoyed/bored; some individual tracks are mint though.

lyrically, just like the previous mix tape i find this to be very self indulged and non-accessible. i doubt the average listener can relate to his over the top perturbed dribble.

its a shame though because instrumentally it sounds top notch, Just take his annoying personality out of the equation.

Whoa, this album is really, really shit. I dont get the hype. Lyric content is same old laughable shite as every other RnB twat with nothing interesting to say. And there is also the over obvious application of auto tune used in this album.
To be fair, "What you need" was a brilliant song, but nothing on this album even comes close to that song.

after reading comments i cannot conceive how anyone wouldnt recognize the monumental investment the artist has made and the rarely paralleled soulful display...people sadden me with their general lack of aesthetic observation. if music doesnt make me feel and/or take me somewhere im often disappointed. this does both. ive listened to it nearly 10 times without fatigue. that doesnt happen unless its great. audio panty dropper. 5
