Hi there, my guest this week is Dan Caster from Berlin's Supdub Records.
Dan Caster alias Daniel Peter has been a DJ (with different project names) and a successful producer in the club-scene for more than a decade. He produced Sascha Braemer, Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner, Nicone & Braemer, Rene Bourgeois, Sebastian Phillip and Toby Montana, amongst others. His priority is obviously producing rather than performing.
Daniel’s musical talent enables him to produce and remix all his tracks on his own which adds to the authenticity of his music. Dan describes his style as “minimal pop”, because he throws in some harmonies, vocals and samples with great pop appeal every now and then. “Dan Caster” is Daniel’s main project since 2009. His third release “Dirty Girl” (Shaker Plates), became a worldwide club hit. Andhim und Sascha Braemer instantly recognized the potential of that track and remixed it. The upcoming releases on „Shaker Plates“ and „Supdub“, that are going to be released early this year and mid-year, respectively, are most promising and being eagerly awaited by the fans. In his DJ-sets Dan Caster concentrates almost exclusively on his own productions. It is the mixture of released and unreleased tracks that makes his sets stand out and unique. With his current massive output and his increasing focus on the Dan Caster Project in 2012 it seems ever more likely to be presented live on stage. The success of Dan Caster is steadily rising. Expect to hear more from him.
