Clarke was never going to let us down when it comes to 'proper' techno for his Fabric outing. Tracklisting does look very, very tasty.

No-one spins electro-tech quite like Clarke. Tracklist looks monster. Fair play to not filling the playlist with a tasteful, respectful selection of classic 'standards' too, as is so many nineties dj's wont.

Wow! I may have to purchase the my first Fabric CD in a long time....... However I do feel the Mix CD's days are numbered, especially where Techno is concerned due to the Awesome CLR podcast (along with others)

so many good stuff coming out i hope i can get them all but this is at the top of the list.

Saying that I am happy for this is a severe understatement.
Although the front picture could have been better. Something along the lines of a skull or a Misfits picture and it should read ' Fabric 60' from The Undisputed Baron of Techno, DaveClarke.

Mine came in the post today. Listening to it now, it's impressive. Must agree with LeonV though, not a fan of the cover art.

Mine came from FabricFirst last night and it did not disappoint. It's a superb mix, unrelenting, heavy and dark. An absolute treat from start to end. Can't wait until he plays Fabric in November.

listened through it one time now and I love it. can you suggest me other great albums that are going into that kind of music direction?

El Dani, you might like Ivan Smagghe who does this sort of thing and although 10 years old now, Dave Clarke's World Service 1 Electro CD is still very good IMO.

For me is a wondering compilation, also the mix is really brilliant, in a generation where the production cover mxing failures. This is one of the compilations of the year, is the same style of Driving Techno, somo Electro and Hard Techno with New Blood, Dave Clarke makes an excellent work searching this new producers sounds like 'World Service' of this era. 10/10 5/5, Great Dave Clarke!!!!

The Smagghe comparison is not unwarranted in places. Cracking mix, takes me back to a point in time, although I've no idea when that was. Nobody does beasting electro quite like DC.

Dave Clarke - Fabric 60 cover
RA Review
Part of what makes Fabric 60 such a success is the sheer breadth it covers. It's been compiled by a bonafide veteran of techno—Dave Clarke—yet doesn't feature a track older than two years. Industrial techno, Detroit and electro all rub shoulders, making the disc something much more than your avera..

Sold this one 2nd-hand....other than a handful of tracks that were quality (Larkin remix of Romboy, Balducci, Scape One and Exzakt), I found this volume very boring and somewhat flat.

Yeah, the mixing is pretty good, but if you don't use interesting or quality tracks, mixing is moot.

amazed the RA reviewer gave this 4 out of 5. It's not like it's as anywhere as good as Surgeon or Robert Hood's volumes.

My older brother which is pretty much a metalhead stumbled uppon this album and called me saying 'I NEED more of THIS stuff'.

Hilarious.

I'm guessing the cover is some sort of fabric homage to his red series?

I think electro will come back in this year as well, not electro house though, it's too early for that. But, I think the whole, electro/dub, electro/techno, electro whatever will come in.

@PerryNelson777 you reckon? electro house is still pretty big...although it resides in the drivel that sander van doorn plays. which is a massive shame

This release is amazing. With the mix Dave Clarke takes me to a exotic journey to early 00's, is a kind of freshy old-techno + electro, seems like a World Service Series update, with new artist fighting against the trendy electronic music. Is Great Dave Clarke is awesome!!
