Well, you can't blame him for being dishonest.

| #8 / Mon, 29 Aug 11 10:09 hotflush is not a "bastion of ambiguity" when it comes to vibe, precisely because it does not take part in the tiny genre furrowing that is your RA world.
A dance music genre is, and always has been, half a dozen good tunes and 5000 bad copies. All innovation will fall between the cracks of genres which exist only for the sake of journalism and other communication. Good music will never conform.
Whether a mix is done in ableton or any other way is even more irrelevant than genre to a genuine music lover! If it's something difficult you want to do, why not learn a musical instrument?

| #21 / Tue, 30 Aug 11 00:06 Absolutely beautiful mix. This is the kind of sound I'm looking for when I'm getting into the mix. Evoking this kind of mood and creating these sorts of soundscapes. Well done Mr. Fiztgerald!

I also detect nuances of Pike Place Roast in the mix. Maybe it's just me, but did any one else notice how he didn't respond to where the mix was recorded? Could it be that he was drinking an orange mocha frappucino while puttin it down?

really nice to hear a polished mix regardless of what tools were used. There's so many subpar mixes out there that have a few nice tunes but no real message. this one has a little bit of everything, message, mood, tunes, flow, etc etc. well done Mr Fitzgerald.

I'm guessing he saw Tokimonsta sitting by the window sippin a Hot chocolate toffee nut mocha whipped cream caramel drizzle and got so influenced he just had to try it out.

| #47 / Thu, 01 Sep 11 04:16 Big fucking up, Mr FitzGerald. Before this podcast I had only heard a few (albeit good) songs of yours. Now I am completely sold on your talent.
Having said all that, I don't think a fade-out was the best way to end the mix.

Fully agree. Actually, while I've loved many of FitzGerald's mixes, this one felt a little—well, how to put it? It was really good. But not great. I have this odd sense that it was more to put together a ton of unreleased things together. Which is okay. But it still left me wanting... something. And the Josh Wink track in this context is harsh on the ears. FitzGerald has a lot of mixes out there, but I can recommend the ones on Boiler Room, Sonic Router, etc.
